Money is no problem your budget has no restrictions!

Your significant other will agree with you 100% but it has to be able to be sailed by the two of you… Which boat would you choose & why?

(Not hard to guess what my pick would be!)

If I have left your boat off, I am sorry, let me know and I will add ASAP.

If you could buy any boat to cruise around the world in as a couple which boat would you choose? Presume money is not an object....nice!

Catana’s are sailors boats, helms where they should be, seawkindly in all conditions, and with judicious handling they will look after you on your adventures.
Oh! if money was no object I’d choose the 59, as she provides the maximum of everything a cruising couple would ever need.

OMG Capt Gordon you are so correct!

Last week we went and had a look over the 59 and it was AMAZING! A hotel that sails beautifully. My Captain lucky thing got to go out on a test sail. I think I will change my mind and join you in saying if money was no object I too would sail away with the 59…. mind you the 70 was something else.

It’s a good thing I am so happy with our girl of the ocean.

    Cheers the Miss

My mind boggles… Open cheque book!… Yes please!!

I too went on the 59′ Catana and whilst it was pure minimalist luxury all the way I’d stick with a managble under 50′ sadly the real world ($^$) will dictate the true size “when” it happens…
I think the 59′ is a cut and splice job of the 47′ ?
    (However I maybe misinformed)
I’m interested on how others find a helm out in the elements?
Fair weather and safe passage Miss C and Captain.

We are looking at Ovni’s at the moment…we are yet to sail on one but making a trip to France mid next year to go shopping. Plenty of internet research going on right now.

We just sold our Hans Christian 48 and signed the contract on a Catana 42 yesterday! I went for the 42 because it sails well, is strong, is relatively simple and figure I can maintain it without needing extra help.

Money aside, being able to maintain all parts of her myself is really important to us.

I also really like the way it looks. I like the looks of the new 55 and the old 522 better but hey I couldn’t maintain that without help.

    Cool site BTW.

    Hi Paul,
Congratulations – what a great choice!
I think it is obvious from our site but we LOVE LOVE LOVE our boat. She is fast, easy to operate and we feel safe. The past week we had some pretty crappy weather and waves and she did a great job and not one second did we need to second guess her. Well done on your buy send me a photo!
    cheers the Miss

Woah! I’m really enjoying the template/theme of this
website. It’s simple, yet effective. A lot of times it’s hard to get that “perfect balance”
between usability and visual appearance. I must say you’ve done a fantastic job with
this. Also, the blog loads super fast for me on Chrome.
    Outstanding Blog!
