The yacht PACIFIC SUNRISE arrived in Hobart three weeks ago.

She is owned by Julian Alcorso, a Tasmanian winemaker and entrepreneur.

His father, Claudio Alcorso, founded the Moorilla Vineyards in Berriedale, a few kilometres north of Hobart, the capital city of Tasmania.

Alcorso senior, who owned Silk and Textiles factory in Hobart, established the vineyard and built a magnificent Italian-style mansion with Roman frescoes.

The property is now MONA, the Museum of Old and New Art, owned by Tasmanian millionaire, David Walsh.

PACIFIC SUNRISE sailed down the east coast of Australia, from the Airlie Beach area of Queensland.

Crewmembers aboard the yacht are carrying out maintenance while the vessel is alongside in Hobart.
