I can’t throw in steak knives but this recipe is not only delicious, easy to make, can be stored in the freezer or long term on a boat or in a pantry.

This is the sauce I mentioned, was a great success for the Catana workers’ lunch. Toulee has handed over his secret recipe after a request from the Miss. Like many good recipes key is in it’s simplicity.

Ingredients:

Soy Sauce
Fish Sauce
Equal amounts of both to form the base. Add to a small jar or container.

Add a touch of water based on your taste and how thick you wish to have your sauce.

Add 1/4 peeled diced Cucumber
Corinder good handful
Clove of crushed Garlic
1 teaspoon of sugar
Hot pepper of any kind to taste – Captain uses two small green (hot!)

Store in an air tight container and keep in fridge, add to rice, salads, cous cous or anything you fancy.
